Ali Gohar elected Ghotki nazim

SUKKUR, June 26: The Khushaal Pakistan-Mahar group emerged successful over nazim seats of the Ghotki district and Ghotki and Khangarh talukas on Monday. Three talukas of the district, Mirpur Mathelo, Daharki and Ubauro, were bagged by the Lund group.

According to unofficial results announced on Monday, Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar defeated his rival Saghir Ahmed Lund of the Lund group by taking 361 votes.

Sardar Mahar was elected Ghotki district nazim for second term.

Saghir Lund got 152 votes.

Sardar Khan Ghoto received 169 votes and became taluka nazim Ghotki after defeating his opponent Abdul Razzaq who got 11 votes.

Dr Paman Das of the Khushaal Pakistan-Mahar group bagged the seat of taluka nazim Khangarh by getting 50 votes.

His opponent Abdul Malik Gabole received two votes only.

Mian Nazeer Lund of the Lund group became taluka nazim Mirpur Mathelo by getting 62 votes while his opponent Mir Hazar Khan Bozdar received 42 votes.

In Daharki, Mian Shafiq of the Lund group got 52 votes and become taluka nazim while his opponent Juman Mahar received 26 votes.

Mian Shafan Dahar of the Lund group got 58 votes and become taluka nazim Ubauro.
