RAHIM YAR KHAN, June 25: Six dacoits on Sunday looted ornaments worth Rs15 million from two jewellery shops in Meena Bazaar, Khanpur tehsil.

Four men, one of them masked, appeared in Meena Bazaar and started aerial firing that resulted in injuries to a passerby child.

The gunmen, after pouring chilies in security guard’s eyes, barged into Mairaj Jewellers and collected 600 tolas of gold from there.

Later, they intruded into Siraj Jewellers, scooped 500 tolas of gold and escaped on two motorcycles along with their two accomplices waiting them near Sabzi Mandi.

Enraged traders in protest closed their shops and blocked traffic at Dinpur Chowk.
