KARACHI: A man was shot dead in Orangi Town late on Thursday night.

The Pirabad police said that Raheem Dad, 45, was shot at and critically wounded at Frontier Chowk. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he died during treatment.

West-SSP Tariq Illahi Mastoi shared that the police had obtained CCTV footage and launched an investigation. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and arrested the suspect, Mohammed Kafeel, and recovered a 30-bore pistol used in the incident.

The officer added that during an initial probe, the suspect confessed to having committed the murder over a personal enmity.
