DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three members of a family were killed in a collision between a pickup van and a motorcycle near Kanta Mor in the limits of Paroa police station here on Tuesday, the police said.

They said a resident, Kaleemullah, his wife, Asma Bibi and their son, Mustafa, residents of Tank and currently living in Meeren village here, died on the spot.

His other son, Hazratullah, sustained injuries and was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan for treatment.

The police said that Kaleemullah, along with his family, was travelling on the motorcycle.

In a separate incident, a motorcycle collided with a tanker on Dera-Daraban Road near Zakariya Mosque, within the jurisdiction of Cantt police station.

As a result, Rabia Bibi, 33, and her three-year-old son were injured.

Both were taken to the hospital, where Rabia later succumbed to her injuries. The child was reported to be under treatment.

Police said the family from Lahore was visiting relatives in the Mohalla Gariban locality of Dera city at the time of the incident.

Further investigations into both accidents are underway.
