Doctor deprived of over Rs1m

RAWALPINDI, June 23: A doctor was robbed of Rs1.35 million in Satellite Town on Friday, police said. Dr Said Ali, the victim, told the Banni police that he drew Rs350,000 from a bank and then came to his house to collect Rs1 million. After collecting the amount, he took a cab to deposit cash in another bank.

He said when he was passing through B-Block Satellite Town, three persons intercepted the cab and snatched cash from him.

Meanwhile, two motorcycle riders intercepted a salesman in the Airport Police area and looted Rs14,000 at gunpoint on Wednesday, police said.

Javaid Ahmed, the victim, was going on his van (RLE-4010) when the he got robbed.—Staff Reporter
