Women netball camp starts

ATTOCK, June 22: Training camp of the Pakistan women netball team started in Karachi on Thursday with high hopes to win the Asian Women netball championship in India, president of the Pakistan Federation of Netball Malik Zafar Awan said.

The championship will run from July 23 to 29.

“Our team is hopeful and in good form to win the championship.

“We have already won 2nd Pak-India Women Netball Series-2005 in December,” the president said.

The 25-day camp is being organised under coach Maqbool Ahmed Arian.

Teams from ten Asian countries are participating in the event.

Teams: Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Thailand, Korea and Japan.
