SHEIKHUPURA, June 22: Three women were killed while two men sustained injuries in different parts of the city on Thursday. Sajida was killed in Rehmat Colony when her neighbour Basharat, over the issue of children’s quarrel, hit a stone in her head. She was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

B-Division police are investigating.

In the other incident, Nasrin was crushed under the wheels of a speedy wagon near Bagh Chowk police post on the Sheikhupura-Hafizabad Road, some 15 kilometres from here, on Thursday.

She was crossing the road when the accident took place.

Sheikhupura Saddar police are investigating.

A woman was killed while her husband and son sustained injuries in an accident near Nangal Sadhan on GT Road, some 35 kms from here.

Police said Bilal and his family was going to Lahore from Gujranwala by a car. As they reached near Nangal Sadhan, their car skidded off the road and overturned as a result of which his wife Rakhshanda died on the spot while Bilal and his son Mateen suffered injuries. They were taken to hospital.

Muridke Saddar police are investigating.
