UN nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi has said about half of Iran’s uranium enriched to up to 60 per cent purity, a short step from weapons grade, was stored in an underground area at Isfahan that seems largely unharmed by US and Israeli bombing, reports Reuters.
“We believe Isfahan had a bit more than 200 kilgramme of 60opc uranium. The widespread assumption is that the material is still there,” Grossi said, adding that there was an impact close to one of the tunnels at Isfahan.
