The army has foiled an infiltration attempt by Afghan Taliban and Fitna al Khawarij near Torkham in KP, Radio Pakistan reports, citing security sources.
According to security sources, an Afghan Taliban ringleader was killed along with his associates while attempting infiltration.
Both sides accuse the other of violating the truce that was supposed to halt the conflict in April, yet neither appears willing to abandon negotiations altogether.
Though the JAAC’s demands are open to scrutiny, banning any political organisation — as long as it remains committed to peaceful activism — is undemocratic.
