PESHAWAR: A state-of-the-art multipurpose digital centre was inaugurated at the Business Incubation Centre here on Friday to help promote women’s economic empowerment and enhance digital skills under the Digitalisation for Women Economic Empowerment (D4WEE) project.

The initiative is being implemented with the financial support from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Peshawar division commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner reaffirmed the commitment to empowering women through access to modern technology and skills development.

He appreciated KOICA for providing advanced digital equipment and facilities and assured full support from the district government and the local administration for the successful implementation of the project.

KOICA Country Head Eun Kyung Kang was also present on the occasion.

The event was held under the theme ‘Empower Her’, under which 3,000 women and female students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive digital skills training to help them become economically self-reliant and access improved employment opportunities.
