NAROWAL: A woman, who visited Daska to collect Ramazan ration package, was allegedly subjected to gang-rape.

Reports said complainant ‘M’ , a resident of village Daulatpur, Tehsil Pasrur, alleged that her niece ‘R’ and a local resident ‘F’ travelled to Daska to collect a ration package. Upon their arrival, they were met by a man ‘A’ , a resident of village Gultian Kalan, who reportedly lured them to a nearby workshop.

According to the FIR, once inside the workshop, the women were held hostage at gunpoint by ‘A’ and an accomplice ‘R’. The suspects allegedly took ‘R’ into a separate room where she was raped by both men. Following the assault, the suspects reportedly sent the victims away without providing any ration packages.

The Daska City Police have registered a first information report against the both suspects under Section 376 of the PPC.

The victim’s family has appealed to the chief minister to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects and the provision of justice.
