Salman Mirza, who walked in to the middle after Shaheen’s dismissal, began the over with passing the strike to Shadab for a single.

After a double on the next ball, Shadab ran for two more runs off Curran’s third delivery.

The Pakistani batsman then deposited Curran for a four between mid-wicket and extra cover fielder.

He was run out on the over’s last ball while trying for a double but only managing a single.

Pakistan scored 164 runs in their innings at a loss of nine wickets, setting a target of 165 for England.
