ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited Shalimar Police Station and reviewed security arrangements across the city.

The police said on Saturday that the IGP Islamabad reviewed public facilitation measures and ongoing development works at the police station. He issued directives to senior police officers to ensure the provision of comprehensive facilities to citizens under the SIPS protocol at the police station.

He stated that all police stations in the federal capital exist to facilitate the public and provide immediate assistance. Citizens’ issues at police stations should be resolved on a priority basis.

He further directed that the ongoing development work at the police station be completed as soon as possible in accordance with the highest standards, so that the public can be provided with the best possible facilities at police stations.

Later, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, along with other senior police officers, attended an Iftar gathering with officers and officials at the Police Lines Headquartersin Islamabad. He also reviewed the Iftar arrangements.

On the occasion, he said that every officer and official of Islamabad Police is determined to perform their duties diligently. The role of each member of the force in the discharge of duties is commendable. Encouraging all officers, he stated that he is proud of the professional competence, bravery, and integrity of Islamabad Police officers and officials.

He directed officers to carry out their responsibilities professionally during the holy month of Ramadan and to continue performing their official duties with enthusiasm and dedication. The purpose of arranging the Iftar dinner for police officers was to boost their morale, as they remain committed at all times to ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property.

Subsequently, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met police officers deployed on security duties outside mosques during the times of Isha, Taraweeh, and Fajr prayers. He personally reviewed the security arrangements at mosques and Imambargahs.

Furthermore, he appreciated the officers performing alert duties and issued instructions to them to carry out their responsibilities in the best possible manner.
