QUETTA: The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has asked individuals and institutions providing services related to purchase, sale or rental of immovable property to immediately complete their registration with the authority and submit returns for each tax period within the stipulated time.

According to BRA, five per cent sales tax is imposed on services provided related to the purchase, sale or rental of immovable property under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) Act, 2015 as amended by the Finance Act, 2025.

In this regard, real estate agents, property dealers and related service providers are required to ensure payment of tax as per the prescribed rate and submit their tax returns on time.

The authority warned that failure to remain unregistered, non-payment of tax or non-submitting of tax returns on time may result in penalties and legal action under the BSTS Act, 2015.

The BRA has urged individual and institutions concerned to fully comply with tax laws to avoid any legal complications and penalties.
