SOUTHAMPTON (England), June 16: Sri Lanka all-rounder Sananth Jayasuriya featured with both bat and ball on Thursday to steer his side to a two-run win over England in their Twenty20 international at the Rosebowl.

Jayasuriya struck 41 in Sri Lanka's 163 then took two for 32 from his four overs in England's 161 for five in an ideal warmup for the five-match one-day series starting at Lord's on Saturday.

Marcus Trescothick smashed 72 from 57 balls with nine boundaries but after he was run out by wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakkara England were unable to maintain their momentum.

Paul Collingwood took four for 22, the best figures yet recorded in a Twenty20 international, in Sri Lanka's innings while Steve Harmison, who missed the three-Test series through injury, worked up a fierce pace in his four overs.
