MANSEHRA: Hazara division DIG Nasir Mehmood Satti on Tuesday directed the district police officers to ensure foolproof security of mosques and imambargahs during Ramazan.

“Additional personnel would be deployed to places of worship and sensitive points during Taraweeh prayers and religious congregations,” he said while chairing an online meeting of DPOs.

A press release issued here said that DPOs were instructed to place police on high alert in their respective areas ahead of Ramazan.

He directed the immediate launch of search and strike operations across the division to nab miscreants, proclaimed offenders, anti-social elements and narcotics peddlers.

Mr Satti directed that all available resources should be utilised for effective and result-oriented operations to protect the life and property of citizens.

He said that intelligence-based operations should be given special emphasis for breakthroughs.

He sought people’s support in effectively tackling crime.

The DPOs presented data on crime trends and departmental performance, and said they would ensure the arrest of outlaws and miscreants.
