RAWALPINDI: Divisional administration on Monday asked deputy commissioners of Rawalpindi division to identify sites for establishment of Ramazan Bazaars and dasterkhawans for Iftar in their respective districts.

A meeting regarding the Ramazan Sasta Bazaar was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Abdul Amer Khattak. The meeting reviewed preparations, security and administrative arrangements for the bazaars. The meeting, held at the Commissioner’s Office Rawalpindi, was attended by all deputy commissioners, district administration officials, and officers of relevant departments.

The commissioner said that during Ramazan, maximum facilities, quality food items, and a safe environment will be provided to citizens. Along with Ramazan Sasta Bazaars, special arrangements for Dastarkhwans (free meal facilities) will also be made so that all deserving individuals may benefit from the blessings of Ramazan.

The commissioner directed that all Ramazan Sasta Bazaars be established at the most accessible locations for the public, where citizens can conveniently obtain quality essential commodities. He further instructed that foolproof security arrangements be ensured at the Ramazan bazaars, adequate lighting be provided, and a complaint cell be established for the immediate redressal of public grievances.

In addition, he said that all emergency response, first aid, and fire safety arrangements must be made operational. Commissioner Rawalpindi strictly directed all Deputy Commissioners to identify the points and complete preparations for the Ramazan Sasta Bazaars within the stipulated timeframe, strictly in accordance with the issued guidelines and SOPs.
