Four killed in two accidents

SAHIWAL, June 15: Four people were killed and five others injured in traffic accidents on Thursday. A car overturned on the GT Road near Chak 115/15-L as a result of which Saadat and his mother Fakhra were killed on the spot while driver Amir Bakhsh and three children sustained injuries.

A speeding motorcycle overturned near Chak 56/4-R on Qadirabad-Qamber Road as a result of which Aftab Sial and Akku Mochi were killed while their friend Sarfraz sustained serious injuries.

MURDER: A man butchered his wife in Chak 51/12-L reportedly for refusing to demand her share from inherited property.

Police said the father of Bashiran died some time ago and the land in his name was transferred to his son. Bashiran’s husband Ramzan forced her to demand her share. He slit her throat open with a knife on her refusal to do so.

Shah Kot police have registered a case with no arrest.
