RAWALPINDI: Police claimed to have arrested two injured suspects after an encounter in the limits of Mandra police station on Thursday night.

However, two of their accomplices escaped. A motorcycle and weapons that were snatched from a citizen at gunpoint a month and a half ago were also recovered from the suspects.

According to a police spokesman, four suspects riding motorcycles opened fire on a police part.

He added that the two robbers who were on the police wanted list were injured during the firing, while two others escaped. A motorcycle and weapons were snatched from a citizen at gunpoint a month and a half ago.

The suspects are involved in several cases of robbery and vehicle theft and are wanted. When the police tried to stop the motorcyclists, the accused opened fire on the police party. During the firing, Constable Ali was also shot, but he remained safe due to his bulletproof jacket.
