SUKKUR: A Khairpur sessions court sentenced a man to 10-year rigorous imprisonment in a drugs case.

Additional Sessions Judge Liaqat Ali Khoso found accused Liaquat Ali Lashari guilty of trafficking one kilogrammes of hashish.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs150,000 on the convict. In case of default on payment of fine, the convict would have to serve an additional one-month simple imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, Lashari was arrested on March 26, 2024 by the Kot Diji police near the Muhabat Wah Bridge on the Naro-Dhoro link road.

The police claimed to have recovered 1,000 grams of hashish from his possession.
