5 of a family drown

SUKKUR, June 14: Five members of a family, including minor children drowned, when a boat capsized on Wednesday in the river Indus near village Gul Bahar Shar, district Kashmore.

Reports reaching here said nine of family were on their way to village Gul Bahar Shar to attend a marriage ceremony when the boat capsized.

The dead were identified as Nihalaan, wife of Qaim; Bahar, son of Qaim; Hira Mai, daughter of Bahar; Bano, daughter of Bahar, and Karimaan, daughter of Bahar.

Local divers fished out their bodies.
