KASUR, June 14: Police on Wednesday sealed five factories of spurious beverages and arrested as many owners during raids at Azaneepur and Galen Hathar villages.

Reports said the Kasur DPO had launched a special operation against beverage units producing substandard soft drinks in the district.

A team, headed by city circle DSP M Attique Sindhu, seized thousands of bottles of various brands and chemicals being used in drinks. Police also arrested factory owners Ghulam Hyder, Ramzan, M Waseem, Riasat and Pervez.
