KASUR, June 14: A woman escaped from the clutches of human traffickers after a year. Shahnaz told police on Wednesday that she was going to see her parents at Allahabad when three armed men kidnapped her. They took her to their hideout in Lahore where they raped her. Later, they sold her to a prostitute, Fouzia, who ran a brothel, for Rs50,000.

The woman put Shahnaz in prostitution. She escaped when she was sent to a customer alone last night and reached a nearby police station.

Police have registered a case against the kidnappers Mushtaq, etc.

ACCIDENT: A speeding car (8357-HA) crushed a cyclist to death at Halla bypass. The car driver has been identified as Naseemullah.
