Israeli air strikes condemned

ISLAMABAD, June 14: Pakistan on Wednesday condemned the Israeli air strike on the Gaza strip a day before that killed civilians, including two children, as an act of terrorism.

In a brief but perhaps by far the hardest hitting reaction to come from Pakistan on the Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said: “We condemn the targeting of innocent civilians. This systematic targeting of civilians is indeed terrorism.”

Talking to Dawn, the FO spokesperson reiterated that the world had been asking Israel to withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories and allow the establishment of a viable Palestinian state.—QA
