Launch of NSA on the anvil

KARACHI, June 12: Formation of National Shooting Academy (NSA) was on the anvil and would be formally launched after getting approval from the executive committee of National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) later this month or in early July.

“Besides expanding the base to the grassroots level, the proposed academy would be responsible for producing technical officials and coaches,” secretary, NRAP, Khalid Javed, said on Monday.

To be headed by ISSF certified coach, Razi Ahmed Khan the NSA would scout talent from schools and colleges and groom them under the guidance of experts.

Meanwhile, a week long shooting course for coaches sponsored by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) concluded at the PN shooting range the other day.
