QUETTA: Professor Dr Mir Saadat Baloch has been appointed as the new vice chancellor of the University of Makran.

According to a notification issued by the Governor House, Professor Saadat belongs to the education sector and brings with him extensive academic and administrative experience. He received his basic education from HSN and later completed his PhD from London.

Prior to his appointment as vice chancellor, Professor Saadat served as pro-vice chancellor of the university in Panjgur, where he played an active role in academic planning and administrative affairs.

His appointment is being termed a positive development for the university as well as the region. Academic circles and members of the general public have expressed hope that under his leadership, the University of Makran will enter a new phase of progress and prosperity. The people of Panjgur have also warmly welcomed his appointment.
