CM Bugti vows to realise Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Thursday reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah into reality, warning that organised conspiracies to destabilise the province would be defeated.
Speaking at a Quaid-i-Azam Day ceremony at the founder’s residency in Ziarat, CM Bugti said Pakistan is steadily progressing toward the ideals envisioned by its founder.
He noted that the country’s strength, dignity, and emerging global stature are being widely recognised by international leaders.
CM Bugti highlighted the “performance of the Pakistan Armed Forces since May of this year,” stating that from commanders to foot soldiers, the military has defended the country’s “sovereignty, honour, and territorial integrity with courage, professionalism, and strategic expertise”.
He said this has enhanced Pakistan’s global reputation and earned it respect on the international stage.
Says conspiracies to destabilise Balochistan will be defeated
The chief minister emphasised that increasing diplomatic engagement and international cooperation reflect the recognition of Pakistan as a resilient nation.
He said the Balochistan government, in collaboration with security forces, has developed a “comprehensive roadmap” aiming to ensure sustainable development, long-term peace, and equitable delivery of progress, which is being implemented in phases.
Addressing security concerns, CM Bugti warned that organised conspiracies against the state are underway in Balochistan. He asserted that plots attempting to exploit ethnic divisions between Baloch, Pashtuns, Punjabis, and Sindhis would be exposed.
“Pakistan’s first and foremost national identity is that of a proud Pakistani, followed by regional and linguistic identities,” he said, stressing that efforts to divide the nation on ethnic or sectarian lines must fail.
Highlighting ideological challenges, the CM said that when enemies failed to divide the nation ethnically, they targeted Pakistan’s ideological foundation.
He noted that the slogan “Pakistan Ka Matlab Kya, La Ilaha Illallah” has been the target of violent extremist campaigns.
