PESHAWAR, June 6: Health Minister Inayatullah has directed immediate establishment of a full-fledged urology unit at the Khyber Teaching Hospital. He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting at the committee room of the health secretariat on Tuesday.

The meeting was told that urology unit at the Lady Reading Hospital was providing operation facilities to 2,300 patients annually while in the general surgery unit of the hospital 7,900 urological patients were being operated.

The meeting was briefed that 36 per cent of the patients of the general surgery unit at the KTH were urological patients.—APP
