Swat defeat Afghan Club

PESHAWAR, June 5: Swat District Football Association confirmed their place in the final of the 3rd All-NWFP Shama Football Cup by defeating Afghan Mujahid Club 5-3 at Younis Stadium in Mardan on Monday.

Tahir Khan scored first goal for Afghan Mujahid which was equalised by Mohammad Ayaz.

Both the teams tied 1-1 at close of the play. Therefore, each team was awarded five penalties.

Swat dominated the penalty session and won the match.

Organising secretary of the tournament Goharur Rehman said date of the final would be decided later.—APP
