New Apnec body takes oath

KARACHI: Shakil Yamin Kanga and Asghar Khan have been elected as the chairman and secretary general of the All Pakistan Newspapers Employees Confederation (Apnec) following the elections held at the Karachi Press Club.

Sindh Labour Minister Saeed Ghani has administered the oath to the newly elected chairman, secretary general and other office-bearers including three vice-chairmen — Nasir Chishti, Mansoor Malik and Dara Zafar — as many assistant secretaries-general — Rana Muhammad Yousaf, Waheed Sheikh and Mirza Imran Baig — and treasurer Muhammad Irfan Ali.Saeed Mohiuddin Pasha, Adnan Shaukat, Tahir Awan and Syed Sabir Ali have been elected as national executive council members.
