SARGODHA: A BPS-20 officer has been booked by Satellite Town police for allegedly raping a woman after luring her to his employee’s house on the pretext of allotment of a residential plot to her in the city suburbs.

According to sources, the suspect, ‘F’, a resident of Sargodha, had passed the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination. Currently, a BPS-20 officer, he is posted in Azad Kashmir.

As per police sources, the suspect was in contact with a 30-year-old woman, ‘B’, whom he promised allotment of a residential plot at her native village, Chak 39-SB.

The sources say that the suspect allegedly picked the woman from her house on the pretext of allotment of the plot, and took her to the house of his employee ‘W’, in Secondary Park, where he raped her.

Taking notice of the matter, Sargodha District Police Officer (DPO) Sohaib Ashraf sought a report on the matter, following which Satellite Town police registered a case against the suspect under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of the girl’s sister and started investigation.
