LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested four suspects from Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan for online harassment and blackmailing of women.

According to a spokesperson, suspect Haroon Qureshi was arrested during a raid in Lahore. He is accused of harassing and threatening women through various social media platforms.

In Faisalabad, the NCCIA arrested Abdul Rehman and Ayaz. The two suspects blackmailed a couple using objectionable material and also received money from them.

The NCCIA arrested Farhad Abbas in Multan. He is accused of sharing a woman’s photographs and videos on social media and blackmailing her.

Legal proceedings against the suspects are under way on the basis of digital evidence, while forensic examination of mobile phones and other digital devices seized from them has also begun.
