Two teams for world bridge

KARACHI, June 3: Pakistan's top teams Allana and Hadi will represent Pakistan in World Bridge Championship to be held at Verona (Italy) from June 7 to 25, Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) announced on Saturday.

Former national champions star-studded Allana included A.R.Allana, Jan-e-Alam Fazli, Rashid Jafar, Nishat Abedi with a Canadian George Mittleman.

Nishat Abedi, who now lives in USA will be directly arriving in Italy with his partner Mittleman, secretary PBF Tariq Rasheed Khan said.

Hadi got Khurshid Hadi, Kamel Shoaib, Javed Ahmed, Sarfraz Ahmed Khan and Munir Ataullah.

Pairs, mixed pairs and team championship will be contested during the 17-day competition which expects players from over 50-nations, he said.—APP
