ALGIERS, June 3: Algeria’s foreign currency reserves reached a record $64 billion at the end of April this year, the country’s finance minister Mourad Medelci told the state news agency APS on Saturday.
“These reserves at end of April, 2006 stood a the equivalent of more than three years of imports,” he added.
They were at $62 billion in March this year and at $56.18 billion at the end of 2005, he said.—Reuters
