Golf: Shoaibuddin grabs trophy

PESHAWAR, May 31: Shoaibuddin clinched the Club Member Golf Trophy by carding one under par 35 gross over nine holes at PAF Golf Course on Wednesday.

The tournament was held in two categories, amateur HCP 18 and below; and veteran, in which 56 golfers participated.

The tournament will be organised every month in order to provide competitive exposure to all members of the club.

Shoaibuddin carded 35 one under par over nine holes with four birdies at 4, 7, 8 and 9 and made double bogy at hole no. 1.

He was closely followed by Sadiqur Rehman, gross scored 37, one over par with two birdies and three missed strokes.

In Net category, Waleed Qureshi carded five under par 31 and Ehsan Tufail made four under par 32 by taking second position.

In veteran gross, Irshad Hussain clinched the trophy with his gross score 37.

Waleed Qureshi, who scored the lowest score (31) in the Net category, was awarded the overall members trophy.—APP
