SUKKUR, May 31: The chief of 32 tribes, Sardar Mir Sunder Khan Sundrani, was laid to rest in his native Dari, near Kandhkot, on Wednesday morning. He died recently in a Karachi hospital.

Thousands of people, including former Punjab governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar, Zila Nazim Kandhkot Sardar Saleem Jan Mazari, Sardar Sher Mohammad Bijarani, Sardar Taj Mohammad Domki, Ahmed Ali Pitafi, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, and Pir of Bharchoondi Mian Abdul Khaliq attended his Namaz-i-Janaza.

All bazaars in Kandhkot, Dari and Ghouspur remained closed to mourn his death.
