KARACHI, May 31: The food laboratory of the city government has said that out of the 157 samples of water tested in the lab, 122 were found uncontaminated.

Food inspectors of the city government had collected the samples between May 15 and 23 from various areas of Site, Keamari, Landhi, Jamshed, Korangi, Saddar and Gulberg towns.

The city government officials have advised citizens not to consume water without boiling it. They have also stressed that consumption of rotten fruits and vegetables should be avoided and children be made to avoid using unhygienic eatables sold by vendors.—PPI
