LAHORE: Wapda, Army, Police and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) stormed into the semi-finals of the National Kabaddi Championship after convincing displays here at the Punjab Stadium on Friday.

According to the draw for the pre-finals, Pool ‘A’ winners Wapda will take on Police, the Pool ‘D’ toppers, while Pool ‘B’ champions PAF face Army, who emerged from Pool ‘C’. Both semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday.

Earlier, four matches were decided on the day. PAF booked their place in the last four with a 30-20 triumph over Balochistan, while Police brushed aside Navy 45-29 to confirm their semi-final berth. Army, already assured of qualification, completed their pool engagements with authority.

In another fixture, Punjab defeated POF Wah 56-33 in a match that carried no bearing on the semi-final line-up.
