Youth drowns

GUJRANWALA, May 28: A son of a vegetable commission agent drowned in Upper Chenab canal while he was taking bath along with his friends near Chianwali, Kamoki, on Sunday.

Reports said Bilal Ahmad, son of Sheikh Khushi Muhammad, was taking bath in canal in which he drowned. The divers fished out the body after several hours.

NH&MP: The National Highway and Motorway Police removed all encroachments along the GT Road in Kamoki on Sunday.

Reports said an anti-encroachment squad, led by motorway ASP, razed the taxi stand and rent-a-car shops, besides various shops and kiosks in front of the vegetable market.
