GUJRANWALA, May 28: Six condemned prisoners will be hanged in the jail next month while local Anti-Terrorism Courts 1 and 2 had already issued their death warrants, it was learnt here on Sunday.

According to the prosecution, these convicts had killed nine people over murder enmity and during dacoity bid on resistance in separate incidents.

The High Court and Supreme Court also upheld the decisions of lower courts while their clemency appeals were rejected by the president as well.

Courts had given two weeks time to heirs of the accused for mediation with heirs of the deceased, but efforts could not succeed. Prisoners to be executed are: Ilyas his brother Ghulam Abbas and cousin Asif; Muhammad Nawaz; Muhammad Ashraf and Ghulam Abbas.

VISIT: A two members delegation of world bank comprising on Pol Marten and Richd Demenal on Saturday visited various parts of city and reviewed the drive of elimination of environment pollution and drinking water.
