Contempt notice served on SHO

SAHIWAL, May 27: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khalid Naveed Dar on Saturday issued contempt notice to the Kassowal police station SHO for failing to produce the FIR of a fake encounter. The policeman has been asked to appear in the court on Monday (tomorrow).

On May 25, the court had ordered registration of murder case of Muhammad Shafiq, a farmer of Chak 5/14-L, who was allegedly killed in the fake encounter against Kassowal police station SHO Qazi Abdul Basit, ASI Ejaz Ahmad, head constable Zahid Iqbal and two constables, Muhammad Ilyas and Allah Bakhsh, besides four opponents of the farmer.

They were identified as Asghar Sindhu, Muhammad Ismail, Liaquat and Abdul Ghani.
