HYDERABAD, May 26: Hyderabad District Cricket Association (HDCA) ad hoc body in a meeting on Friday hailed imposition of ad hoc set-up and said that it would lead to progress of cricket.

The meeting was held at the PCB Regional Academy ground with ad hoc committee chairman Abdul Majeed Khan in the chair.

Suspended DCA secretary Faisal Hameed Siddiqui, who had demanded imposition of ad hoc committee over DCA, attended the meeting along with 22 cricket clubs.

The chairman urged all cricket clubs to solve out their differences in larger interest of the game.

He said the cricket clubs should show unity as ad hoc committee would play its role as per DCA'a constitutional and legal framework.

Suspended secretary Faisal Siddiqui accused PCB's regional development officer Abdul Hussain Shah of patronising opportunists responsible for harming cricket and the association.

The meeting adopted three resolutions demanding cancellation of fake clubs, doing away with voting rights and holding of new elections in DCA after ad hoc committee discharged its responsibilities.
