DADU, May 26: Demanding reinstatement, a large number of sacked employees of the Sui Southern Gas Company in different towns of Sindh observed a token hunger strike outside the local press club for the second day on Friday.

Talking to newsmen they said that 372 employees from Sindh were appointed during the Benazir government but their services were terminated with the ouster of the PPP government.

They said that the Supreme Court had directed the federal government to reinstate all dismissed employees of SSGC and their posting at related categories.

They alleged that the federal ministry of petroleum and natural resources was not implementing orders of the apex court. They appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the matter and direct the ministry of petroleum to comply with the court’s orders.
