Former Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp, who resigned after failing to secure cabinet support for additional sanctions against Israel over its military onslaught in Gaza, has criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet’s decisions, Al Jazeera reports.
Veldkamp said the operation in Gaza City and the actions of Netanyahu’s inner cabinet are harming Israel’s security. He added that the conflict must end and that Netanyahu’s government has lost its legitimacy in the eyes of the world.
