LAHORE: A young man was allegedly found murdered under mysterious circumstances here on Sunday in Raiwind area.

Identified as Ashfaq, the deceased was a resident of Baghbanpura and police shifted his body to the city morgue for postmortem examination.

Quoting an initial report, a police official said the young man had gone along with his friends somewhere in Kasur.

On the day of the incident, he said, Ashfaq was found murdered in the area of Raiwind and his family alleged that his friends had allegedly tortured him to death over some unknown reasons.

The police registered a murder case and launched investigations to dig out the facts behind the gruesome killing of the young man.
