SUKKUR, May 22: Following complaints of tail-end growers of the Bhero Minor, near Rohri, the chairman of Water Board, Ghotki, on Monday visited the area and found many illegal watercourses and lift machines.

Ghotki Water Board chairman Ghulam Hussain Chachar on Monday visited the Bhero Minor and found nine illegal pipes and three lift machines were installed to lift water due to which tail-end growers were deprived of their legal share of water.

He immediately ordered closure of illegal pipes and three lift machines and wrote letters to higher authorities for taking action against persons involved in water theft.

He suggested to the higher authorities to take stern action against responsible persons.
