PESHAWAR, May 22: Two earthquakes of mild intensity jolted the town of Mansehra and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir capital on Monday within the space of seven hours, the meteorological station said in separate reports.

The town of Mansehra was jolted at 6:26 hours on Monday. The quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was about 200 kilometres north-east of Peshawar in Hazara Division, according to the meteorological office in Peshawar.

Seven hours later, a mild earthquake hit Muzaffarabad on Monday at 13:31 hours. According to preliminary analysis, the earthquake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was located about 250 kilometres east of Peshawar in the Kashmir region.—APP
