PESHAWAR: The adviser to chief minister on information and public relations, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, on Thursday said that provincial government was removing bureaucratic hurdles and introducing an environment to promote trade activities and create jobs.
He was addressing the launching ceremony of ‘KP Investment Guides for Industries 2025’, part of a reform package by government, industries department and KP Board of Investment (KP-BOIT) with support from United Kingdom-funded programme ‘Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (Seed)’.
The reforms, according to an official statement, are aimed at transforming the province’s business environment, boosting investment and improving ease of doing business.
The guides cover full range of processes, including company registration, licences, permits, utilities, land access, tax compliance and sector-specific requirements. Designed for both local and international investors, the guides turn complex procedures into clear and navigable steps, helping businesses to save time and focus on growth.

The guides are backed by Aasan Karobar Bill, 2025, recently presented in the provincial assembly. The bill provides legal foundation for KP’s one-window Aasan Karobar Portal, making it mandatory for all departments to process registrations, licences, certifications and permits digitally.
With features such as time-bound approvals, real-time digital tracking, automatic escalation of delays, grievance redress mechanisms, legal recognition of digital approvals and e-payments, the bill is a major step forward in ensuring transparency, accountability and investors’ confidence.
“This reform marks a new era for investment in KP,” said Mr Saif.
The vice-chairman of KPBOIT, Hassan Masood Kunwar said that the reforms would transform KP economically and improve business processes by giving investors clarity, predictability and confidence.
“With streamlined procedures and transparent systems, we are opening the door for both local and international investors to unlock the province’s full potential,” he said.
The secretary of industries, Masood Ahmed, said that the KP government always prioritised creating an enabling environment for investors and entrepreneurs. He said that Aasan Karobar Bill not only simplified processes but also ensured transparency, predictability and efficiency in facilitating businesses across multiple sectors.
The chief minister’s aide on finance, Muzammil Aslam, said that KP was blessed with immense potential from natural resources and agriculture to tourism, mining, energy, and information technology. He added a robust framework was needed to translate the potential into investment and economic growth.
