LAKKI MARWAT: Police averted a tragedy by defusing two indigenously-made bombs near an army camp in Shah Hasankhel area here on Thursday.

A police official said that the terrorists had used cold drink bottles to make improvised explosive devices to target security personnel.

“The IEDs were planted in a rainwater course near the base camp of Pakistan army,” maintained the official, adding that SHO Ayaz Khan along with a police party immediately reached the rural locality when he received information about the terror bid.

He said that bomb experts were called out to defuse the bombs.
