KARACHI, May 20: Top shooters of the country would be seen aiming targets when the second edition of Islamabad Open shooting championship will be held at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, later this summer.

The event, which will serve as a builtup for this August's South Asian Games in Sri Lanka will run from July 30 to Aug 4, a spokesman of National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) said on Saturday.

The events in the six-day championship include five men and three women contests in pistol, three each for men and women in rifle and three shotgun battles for men.

Besides Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, PAF, Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan and shooters from Federal Territory would be featuring in the competition.—PPI
